Composition and tasks of the jury

The jury members are appointed by the organizer. For each jury, the organizer will appoint a chairperson who will be responsible for preparing and signing the jury reports.

Before the competition begins, there will be a jury meeting in which all members of the respective jury will participate.

Jury assessment

The pieces performed will be judged according to the following technical and musical criteria:

  • Difficulty
  • Articulation
  • Tempo selection
  • Rhythm
  • Dynamics
  • Overall musical impression

Candidates are assessed on the basis of a points score, with the highest score being 50 points. The jury’s assessment cannot be contested or challenged by court.

Assessment as a predicate

The jury’s assessment is expressed in the following ratings for each age group:

  • Participated with good success (up to 25.99 points)
  • Participated with very good success (26 to 39.99 points)
  • Participated with excellent success (40 to 50 points)
  • Participated with outstanding success (47 to 50 points) (only for levels C, D, E)

The participating candidates will receive a medal and a certificate, which will be signed by the jury chairmen, the organizer and the acting mayor. Each certificate contains the name of the category and the rating. Additional trophies will be awarded for 1st to 3rd place in each age category.

During the prizewinners’ concert, the ALPE ADRIA HARMONIKA CHAMPION will be chosen from all categories – from preliminary to level E.
